actually yes ketamine is in trials as an anti depressant actually and i personally find that although im not the biggest fan of mxe while on it the afterglow that seems to last a day or two after is wonderful better than any fooking ssri and better than ketamine even in my opinion

I have been depressed for many years now. Got a nice brew of mental disorders. MDD,GAD,ADD,OCD. I have considered trying MXE before, and read this stuff about depression. Does it really do this?
I'm interested. @profspudhead it's better than any SSRI? I'm game. I'm kinda ready to get off Lexapro 20mg/day. I don't mind Lexapro, but MXE sounds like a cool idea haha

i HATED celexa which is all but the same as lexapro and i too have MDD and GAD and yes i genuinely felt better and happier the days after taking mxe, and not even in large amounts either, dont know that it would work as a long term solution though, from what i hear its quite bad for the bladder in extended or heavy use, but id take that over an ssri any day of the week

DXM made me feel better for a couple days after taking it. It affects serotonin levels so MXE might too.

i need to get this off my chest since i feel i am the only one in the SR world who doesnt really enjoy MXE.
ive done it 3 of 4 times. once i even mixed MXE in with a couple lines of ketamine. did not enjoy that at all.
MXE always leaves me feeling more dissociated then K and less trippy too. nothing too psychedelic really. just an odd uncomfortable time warpish period where 10 minutes feels like 10 hours. i have only snorted it but i have been considering trying smoking it or ingesting it, just havent had too much of an urge since all my trips with have been shitty.
i used to think it was because my dose was too small, but the more i did the more i disliked it. most i did was 125mg up my nose within a 2 hour period, i was really trying to get some hardcore effects that time, but i had nothing but odd perceptions of time and a crazy body high that felt like a balloon.
anyone have any advice or have difficult trips like me?
btw RI, props on being a chill ass dude :)

I recently just got scammed, and although i got my money back I endured severe stress and depression. This came from my faith in humans being completely destroyed, and even got slightly suicidal.
Being a huge dissociatives fan, I would love to have a line of MXE which i have yet to try. Hello, I'm new to silkroad/the forums and the generosity here is amazing. I have been diagnosed chronically depressed for about a year now, but I've felt this way for at least 2. I'm hooked on SSRIs (citalopram in specific) but they can only take the edge off. I would greatly appreciate one of these samples if possible :)

I've been on meds for depression for almost two years.
I'm currently on Celexa, Seroquel, and Adderall.
My doc just took me off Wellbutrin and Pamelor.
My moods have been up and down which has made everyday life fucking hell.
The drug's that i have done are good ole Mary Jane, synthetic cannabinoids, percs, and addy.
Never tried MXE, but I'm always intested in expanding my horizons. That would fucking blow my mind.

For me it just felt like DXM but cleaner, more euphoric, and with better visuals. Took intranasally and tripped for about 4 hours Almost nonstop laughter throughout my 4 hour trip.

I tend to wake up in a rather fine mood mood the day after but I do half some side effects for a couple hour s after using it. For the first couple hours the next day I tend to be slightly out of balance with my body movements
a small equilibrium issue nothing major just kinda clumsy a little, but you have to take in my i usually take 4 times the suggested dosage on a MXE night...but it definitely helps with my depression for a few days. I'd need to try popping a antidepressant before bed after using MXE and see if that even further helps with depression.

I've found that using MXE two days a week with 3 days between doses tends to work on depression for rhe ciople days between doses. Remember MXE lasts 4-5 hours compared to ketamine's 20 minutes and can be quite a stronger reaction than doses of ketamine but ketamine has a strong indication to redose, similar to cocaine but not in a fiendish way or manner, Ketamine you pop out of the trip and feel quite clear and back to earth in a matter of 30 minutes from dose while MXE has a much longer come down that can last almost as long as the trip itself.
I suggest you try a sample of MXE before jumping into a large amount to see if dissociative are your thing, also starting with ketamine you can get a feel what the dissociative experiences is like.

I received a free sample of MXE from RI last week. I have never tried it (or any dissociative for that matter, except for salvia divinorum.) I was highly impressed by the after effects impact on mood. Thanks for such a kind offer, RI. I will definitely be experimenting more with MXE in the future!

I'm certain I'll enjoy the trip, but the fact that it was totally free means so much to me, there are not enough people like this in the world anymore. Yeah, I'm really curious about mxe. Decided to order from buy-jwh.com (as recommended by our own Serguei). Their listing of MXE has this note:
"Pure methoxetamine is active starting from 5-10mg in your lab tests, lots of resellers offer unpure methoxetamine for lower price which is active from 30 , 50 and even 100mg"
Is this BS? Because 50mg line would seem as the overkill for chemical active @10mg..
Anyway, I did put an order with them. Will definitely post my adventures with MXE when I receive it. :)

I find MXE to be most anti-depressive in non-dissociative doses from 5-8mg sublingual. The difference between 20mg and 50mg sublingual with no tolerance is great so be careful when you try this stuff out for the first time. I think 25mg sublingual would be a good starting recreational dose. MXE has a real nice way of becoming habit before you realize it... careful with this stuff.
Careful redosing as well, there is residual stimulatioin that can be compounded when you redose so your cardiovascular system will be pushed harder. Alcohol strongly potentiates this drug, one or two beers are great... more than that and its blackout/emotional outburst time! Love this shit though!

@kilomonster the MXE, I get comes from Europe, I believe. It's been nothing but a good experience, so I never had a reason to go out of my way and get it from asia.
@Bob Arctor After a week long "Tolerance break" 30 mgs of this stuff damn near puts me in the M-hole. I would definitely say 10 mg could be an "Active" dose at that point. But it's a pussy dose. To be politically correct, a fail at life dose. Either way, definitely keep us posted!

Yes this is an amazing compound. I have been in a pit for quite awhile now and this compound has given me a kick in the ass to do something with my life. It makes me social whereas I have social anxiety disorder. It is fucking amazing. Kudos to those giving it away to help others. This does in one session what years of psychiatric "therapy" can't even hope to achieve.
I take 5-8mg oral daily for the dopamine reuptake inhibition.

Do you feel that it's the dopamine reuptake inhibition that has the long-term therapeutic effects? I always thought they were attributed to the NMDA antagonism. If it is indeed the dopamine, selegiline might be cheaper and with fewer side-effects.
The way in which ketamine and PCP are generally used caused me to immediately write off NMDA antagonists, but all of this discussion is making me think that I might want to try MXE for its therapeutic effects (and just out of sheer curiosity, as usual).

Hanzelpie, are you referring to MXE or did I miss something in the previous four pages of this thread? I know experiences differ due to the individual, dosage, mindset, setting, etc. but your description certainly makes me want to give it a try.
